An AI agent for the full customer lifecycle.
For Motion Sports, a German online retailer, I'm building an integrated AI assistant that handles consultation, order support, returns, and after-sales, all inside their existing online shop. The agent connects to inventory, order data, and customer history, and escalates to humans when it should. Goal: turn customer service from a cost center into a revenue driver.
ABOUT MARCEL
The short version.
I studied computer science at TU Munich and worked two years in parallel as a backend engineer at Siemens. After graduating, I spent two years at Devanthro on embodied AI and robotics control, first as research engineer, then as founders associate. I then co-founded two SaaS companies: ShareYourSpace (a coworking marketplace, acquired by Pixida GmbH in 2026) and Rechnungs-API (an invoice automation API).
Today I work as a freelance AI engineer. Alongside that, I continue my research at Devanthro on the OpenArm platform and at the University of Oxford with Prof. Pierre Alexis Mouthuy on sensor-integrated bioreactors for artificial muscles.
Outside of work, I like building my own projects. On the hardware side, things like a self-built smart coffee roaster that quietly turned into a small roasting brand (Marie Lou Coffee). I also tinker with robots, embodied AI, sensors, and 3D printing in general. On the software side, I tinker with smart home setups and my own machine learning and robotics framework written in Rust.
